As part of my final year project, I worked on two separate Data Science projects for two Adelaide-based organizations in ICT and Finance sectors. Delivered working predictive models to respective client organizations. A) Project 1 – model to extract raw data from social media (twitter) with ability to predict whether a tweet is civil unrest related or not. B) Project 2 – model to convert customer’s financial data (extracted from SQL database) into a structured dataset, as data source for predicting financial standing of customers. These projects conceptualize applications of Data Science tools and methods to resolve real world "big data" problems confronting organisations in this era of Big Data. Methods and techniques acquainted with during the course of delivering final products include ICT project management & documentation, data mining & programming toolkits, predictive modelling & methodology, data exploration & pre-processing.
