  I specialised in sourcing permanent and contract employees for manufacturing clients, principally within the petrochemical, aerospace and automotive sectors.Typical hires including engineering managers, maintenance engineers, instrumentation technicians, reliability engineers and HSE specialists – to support all stages of the project life cycle, from turnkey manufacturing plants and day-to-day operations.During one such project, I recruited the head of engineering and then worked with the incumbent to plan and resource their plant team, which included around a dozen maintenance engineers and technicians.Additionally, I sustained excellent relationships with employers to discuss their forthcoming requirements in good time to respond; and with candidates, to understand their career objectives and keep them appraised of opportunities arising.This paid dividends in terms of my placements and promotions at Rise - and opened my eyes to the value of thinking and acting strategically.
