- Recently started to contribute to a field rejuvenation study for OMV-Petrom in Romania. This study comprises a review of the well performances of 18 separate fields in Romania and identifying candidates for well performance improvements.- Reviewing client's field well tops correlation, seismic interpretation and mapping studies, to help identify structural risks and provide a reservoir geological background for proposed rejuvenation candidate wells.

- Project lead and lead geoscientist in an integrated petrophysical and geological study of a large gas field in the Dniepr-Donets Basin, on behalf of a local gas operator.- Coordinated an integrated petrophysics and geo-modeling study, that serves as an input to developing the client’s own integrated static and dynamical model;- Developed a project study and modeling plan, monitored study progress and provided steer for the petrophysical as well as geological studies; - Intervened in study and adjusted work program and priorities, where needed;- Communicated / liaised with the Technical Team of the client and chaired conference calls;- Liaised with several different technical groups which contributed to this large, integrated project, and were located in different locations, using internet-based meeting solutions.- This study delivered a review and clean-up of the large well log stock of this field, and integrated petrophysical as well as Petrel geological modeling. - This integrated work serves as an input to developing the client’s own integrated static and dynamical model; Show less

- 2018-2019: Principal Seismic Interpreter to an Integrated Field Study of a large clastics field located in Eastern Romania, on behalf of OMV-Petrom; - Developed a new structural mapping and fault analysis, velocity analysis, depth conversion and uncertainty analysis. Built the structural framework model. Developed attributes for detecting fault trends, reservoir channels, delta-lobes and shoreface trends. Integrated this seismic work into the geo-model, which was developed and contributed to a Full Field study of this field, including a ranked list of infill-drilling targets. Contributed to some 40 well proposals by Operator, based on this work. Show less

- Principal Seismic Interpreter to the Lekhwair cluster of fields in PDO. - Made a regional seismic and geological remapping of the greater Lekhwair cluster area, leading to a new prospect portfolio. Developed with seismic and inversion attribute maps the basis for a regional depositional model of the Upper Shu'aiba (US) carbonate reservoirs. - Made detailed mapping and structural models for nine Upper Shu’aiba (LS) FDP studies and 3 Kharaib (KH) fields in support of field development plans and ongoing drilling operations. Also contributed to a Natih truncation Play, as well as a Shammer development study. - Made successful well proposals for numerous US and KH development wells. Regularly provided operational support during overnight and weekend operations. - Provided training, coaching for several Omani interpreters and geologists. - As Lead Geophysicist formed part of the PDO management panel during all final well proposal reviews. Advised cluster management team on all matters geophysics and geomodelling, on reviews and QA/QC, as well as on training needs. - Provided continual operations support, often outside office hours, for more than a dozen project teams concurrently. - Coordinated a large scale seismic reprocessing exercise with an external and internal processing teams. Remapped all fields using the improved dataset leading to improved well predictions and de-risking. - As Technical Editor coordinated the delivery project reports such as Development Strategy Notes, FDP's and WPP's in this cluster. Principal Seismic Interpreter to Equity Redetermination Team in the Shell E&P Projects Upstream division. On behalf of Norske Shell, prepared an equity seismic and structural model of the Troll Field.Made a similar seismic study of the complex Ormen Lange Field in preparation of an equity redetermination. Prepared the seismic and geo-model and contributed to the Equity Submission. Achieved a significant win for Norske Shell and partners. Voted Best Commercial Project in Shell in 2013.Made a seismic evaluation and structural modeling study of the complex Val d'Agri carbonate field in onshore Italy. This geo-model formed the basis for equity redetermination negotiations between Shell and ENI, which were successfully concluded. - Principal seismic interpreter to the global Integrated Reservoir Modeling (IRM) Team of the Shell E&P Projects Upstream division.- Reviewed the link between Seismic Evaluation and Integrated Reservoir modeling workflows and wrote Guidelines which were implemented across the Shell Group as standardized practices.- As part of this study, developed a velocity modeling and depth conversion manual, covering all Shell group-wide methodologies, and mapped to the Petrel toolkit. This was subsequently used as a basis for several velocity modeling courses given in Shell in Rijswijk. Show less

Acted as discipline lead and coach for a variety of Rijswijk-based Upstream projects:- Made a detailed seismic and structural mapping of the Khazar Field, Caspian Sea, in support of a feasibility study of this field. Also made a regional seismic and structural evaluation of the North Caspian Basin.- Did a seismic and prospectivity review of the Central/Northern North Sea Fisher Bank Basin. Reviewed the near-field potential and recognised a major Jurassic Fan Play similar to the Brae Field. - Reviewed a velocity modeling and depth conversion study of the Kashagan Field team in the North Caspian Sea. - Reviewed and improved a depth conversion study of the Qatar North Field, performed by Shell Qatar.- Led a seismic mapping, depth conversion and structural model build of the major Majnoon Field in Southern Irak.- Appointed as Technical Editor to coordinate the combined studies on the Kirkuk Field, Iraq. This 3-year study comprised of 22 technical studies and reports and contributed to the subsequent awarding of the Majnoon Field Development study.- Coached, reviewed a team with the seismic mapping, velocity modeling and depth conversion of the Bab Field in Abu Dhabi.- Coached a team with the building of a structural and velocity model using Petrel of the Corrib Field in the Irish Sea, in support of a seismic re-acquisition exercise. Made a regional scale but detailed structural mapping, which recognised numerous near-field follow-up potential. - Seconded as Senior Seismic Interpreter to Petronas-Carigali, as part of the Baram Delta (BDO) EOR Feasibility Team. - Provided a Full-Field 3D seismic interpretation, velocity modeling and depth conversion study of the complex Tukau Field. - Delivered a very complicated geo-model study of this Field. The geo-model was adopted by Shell and Petronas and successfully used for dynamical modeling, volumetrics re-assessment and identification of development opportunities and EOR potential. - Contributed to SI peer reviews and assists on a regular basis of the various Baram Delta studies.- As invited velocity modeling expert to Petronas in Kuala Lumpur, made a study about depth conversion for the Baram South Field development plan. Assigned to the Sarawak Gas Supply Team as Senior Seismic Interpreter. - Provided a detailed development seismic evaluation as part of the Jintan Field Development Plan Integrated Modeling Study. - Delivered the greater M1-Jintan regional seismic study. - Re-evaluated the M3 Carbonate-gas Field, as part of the M3 Further Development Project. - Reviewed and developed a new and successful karst/fracture model to explain the unexpected and localised acquifer break-through problem in this field. This proved a game-changer, as many carbonate fields were affected by similar processes. - Secured a significant increase of the used of 3D seismic data and mapping and visualization techniques to improve imaging and modeling of the karsts and lead to a de-risking of the development drilling in these carbonate fields. - Initiated and championed the testing of a stochastic seismic inversion technique, StatMod™, Fugro-Jason, to classify and visualise different carbonate rock types directly from seismic. This workflow proved successful and generated a 3D carbonate rock type volume that could be directly adopted into the Geo-Model as part of the Jintan Field FDP. - Provided mentoring and training to junior SI's. Lead Seismic Interpreter in the Block 16 Asset Team. - Provided a prospectivity review of the Block 16 Inner Trend, Angola Ofshore, as well as the deep-water outboard part of the block, and developed a prospect portfolio and ranking. - Championed AVO and QI-based workflows, developed a new AVO classification scheme, and with 2 QI peers, developed several new AVO-based prospect screening tools. - Applied these successfully for prospect de-risking and ranking in Block 16. - Acted as AVO/DHI focal point during the 1998 Angolan Ultra Deep-Water Bid Round. - Made a seismic, depositional mapping and prospectivity review and applied the new AVO screening techniques in the high-priority Block 18 / 33/ 34 Bid Round. - Provided SI/QI advice for Shell Gabon with a review of their offshore Kenguerie Marin acreage and delivered a rock-properties framework document. - Acted as lead seismic interpreter in the Obayed and Matruh blocks. - Prepared prospect seismic mapping and discovery well proposals. - Made a regional remapping of the deep Jurassic Khatatba Play across both blocks. This work led to the recognition of the large Obaiyed Field. - As acting team lead, coordinated the initial volume and development assessments of this field. - Acted as Shell Egypt’s focal point for seismic processing, general seismic interpretation and AVO matters. - Provided on-the-job training and support for Egyptian staff. - Acted as Technical Coordinator during the Nile Delta and Western Desert Bid Round of 1994. As part of this study, discovered the Pliocene gas-filled erosional canyon play in a near-coastal block in the delta. These later all became discoveries (with individual volumes ranging between 3-8 Tcf), developed by British Gas, with Shell as partner. - Acted as lead Geologist/Interpreter during the Abu Gharadig (AG) and Western Nile Delta Bid Round of 1995. This work led to Shell’s entry into 1 new block in the AG Basin. Several of the then identified prospects later became discoveries. Show less

- Was assigned the first 2 years as senior exploration seismic interpreter to the regional seismic mapping of the new 3D data volume, covering Deir ez Zor and Ash Sham blocks. - Prepared a comprehensive prospect and leads inventory of both blocks. - Provided prospect seismic mapping, velocity models and depth conversions. - Wrote well proposals that resulted in the discoveries of the Sijan, Saban, Saban NE, Maleh, Azraq and Omar Southeast fields, as well as several smaller fields. Over a period of 2 years had nearly a 100% hit rate. - After discovery of these fields, carried out detailed field appraisal mappings and wrote numerous appraisal well proposals. - Provided operational support during drilling of numerous appraisal wells, on behalf of Al Furat, the development company. - Acted for 1 year as stand-in Team Lead due to absence of TL. - Separately. acted as Team Lead for a 4-man team which coordinated preparation of Notices of Commercial Discovery on the discovered fields and prepared hand-over of the studies to Al Furat development studies teams. - Was responsible on behalf of Syria Shell for value assurance reviews of Al Furat's appraisal & development well proposals. - Provided on-the-job training in seismic evaluation techniques for five junior geoscientists. - Acted as advisor and lead SI for all seismic planning aspects to management for all seismic acquisition and processing projects. Presented the work and Bid proposal to prospective partners, as well as to the Department of Energy of the UK Government. - During the 10th UK License Round, made the regional seismic and geological evaluation for the whole Inner Moray Firth and Dutch Bank Basins. - Presented at several farm-in/out meetings and participated with regular reviews and meetings with Partner Britoil.
