The Royal Alexandra and Albert school is one of the few voluntary aided state boarding schools in the UK. The school has just over 1100 pupils of which around 500 are full boarders. RAAS is the only state boarding school in the country to take boarders from year 3. The school is based in the stunning surroundings of the 260 acres of Gatton Park, Reigate in Surrey. The Grounds includes the Grade two listed Gatton Hall together with a Capability Brown landscape and later features. Key Achievements: 1) Move from 2% deficit to 6% operating surplus in 3 years (pre Covid) 2) Bringing building maintenance under control. 3) The management of a successful £5.0m renovation projects. 4) Inception, and management of £6.4m project replacing oil heating with Heat pumps.
