Over 40+ years I have maintained a strong passion for the development of innovative solutions in analytical chemistry, particularly chromatography and mass spectrometry. From the founding in 1960 of SGE Analytical Science by my father Ern Dawes, we built a global enterprise that was a leader in providing innovative products for analytical chemists. In 2013 I divested the SGE business to my management under the Trajan name and have focused on building the ETP Ion Detect business which develops and manufactures detection solutions used by most mass spectrometer companies. In addition, 2012 saw the founding of the ePrep business which has developed a wide range of innovative solutions to streamline and automate sample preparation in analytical chemistry laboratories.
