Initially on joining the company I was involved in assisting redundant workers to be retrained and move into employment. As Operations Manager I became responsible for all of the 14-19 youth training across Tyneside. I am working towards developing a training organization that can compete on a professional level and provide a service that staff can be proud of delivering. Developing a strong engagement with partner organisations such as LSC(SFA), Connexions, TWLP etc and providing stability in high turnover of staff situation.My role also involves Examination Officer duties where I control the examinations taking place at our Bede centre. I invigilate examinations (NCFE, C Skills. OCR ) and provide the link between the centre and the various awarding bodies.As a new assessor I assess Business Administration portfolios to ensure that learners work meets the achievement criteria specified by the awarding body.I am responsible for ensuring that all staff maintain their CPD and arrange and deliver training sessions such as safeguarding, Ofsted Preparation, Self-Assessment Workshops etc. Show less

Rathbone are a national not for profit organisation, offering a range of provision to the harder to help 16-19 year olds, such as Preparation for Progress, Entry to Employment, Modern Apprenticeships and Train to Gain programmes. There are approximately 150 learners taking part in these programmes at the Felling centre with most learners being involved in placements in the work place. The target learners are those falling in the NEET groups, including ex offenders and those at risk of offending.
