  Responsibilities included:Working regularly with a community choir, sponsored by the Institute of Mental Health, on an ambitious co-production with the Royal Shakespeare Company and Theatre Royal Nottingham. Planning and delivering a programme of 26 workshops for participants aged 40-85. Workshops on confidence building, theatre skills, which resulted in my directing of a production of Romeo & Juliet performed to the public.Writing and adapting an abridged text for performance, weaving key scenes from Romeo and Juliet with personal stories and ideas from choir participants.Managing a team of creatives, inc. a Set & Costumer Designer, Movement Director, Voice Practitioner and two professional Actors.The project was evaluated by The Audience Agency; testimonials from participants indicated that levels of confidence, both theatrically and in day-to-day life had improved greatly from start to finish. I was a member of the core creative team for the production, providing research and dramaturgy for the writer, James Phillips, leading rehearsals with professional and non-professional actors, as well as delivering outreach workshops with the local community.
