I was part of a management team that saw Sky develop from a fledgling medium to a key player with billings in excess of £325 million.From 1996, my particular role was that of ‘Business Development Controller’; initially working alone I worked on ‘non-agency led’ brands and successfully built to a group billing £30 million and overseeing a team of 8 personnel.Key achievements• Part of a hugely successful management team that helped establish Sky Media as one of the UK’s most powerful advertising brands• Built the Business Development role from billings of £300,000 in 1996 to £30 million in 2004• Developed a specialist ‘Golf’ media section which bought many top names to TV • Overseeing many new advertisers to national TV advertising• Overseeing Sky’s Direct Response policy• Involvement with key broadcast sponsorship deals including that of Ryder Cup coverage
