I lead a department of TCD students working on pathfinding and path planning algorithms for Formula Trinity Autonomous's entry into the FS-AI self-driving car competition. We use Python and SciPy primarily along with ROS for integration with the rest of our infrastructure.

Over the summer I worked with town planners at Tom Phillips Associates to develop a series of geospatial applications using the ArcGIS suite of products. Using the ArcGIS Web AppBuilder API I delivered an application that could display and compare various geospatial data sources, including planning applications, landmarks, and public transport connections. After my work experience at Giant Animation, I returned to script in Python for them in a paid and professional capacity. My main project was a setup and onboarding utility that assigned filters, privileges, and groups to new and transferred employees. It was later used to reset and re-establish filters from the ground up for many employees’ corporate email accounts. While in this position I learnt how to script and work with Python in an enterprise environment, as well as generally becoming familiar with the rhythms of a corporate workplace. Towards the end of this work experience I successfully created and delivered a basic filter utility for the company’s Google Workplace email accounts.
