  Following several visits to Europe and Ukraine prior to 2015, I decided to take a sabbatical from development work in Australia and relocate to the city of Kyiv. During my tenure in Kyiv, I consulted for several foreign and local companies regarding construction/development work. I was also able to assist a fellow Australian that I met in Kyiv to establish an Australian food production (Aussie meat pies) business. My experience in development and construction was utilized to find a suitable property and then to establish the manufacturing facility. This included managing the design and construction of a 500m2 commercial bakery. Following the birth of my first grandchild in April 2017 the decision was made to leave Ukraine and return to Australia to be with my growing family. Show less
