Pete is an amazing product manager, and an amazing coworker and person. He is probably the least reactive co-worker I've ever worked with, with a calm, warm, genuine, generous demeanor that makes you want to work with him. He's.....rational, always, and smart, and authentic. I had the privilege of working with him in different areas for a number of years at the Maven, and he was someone who was always utterly responsive, who I could go to with absolutely no qualms or reservations for help with problems, and I always got the right answer, and he was generous with his time and expertise, every single time. I had the privilege of working on the Sports Illustrated iOS app with Pete. He was the product manager. He managed interfacing/negotiating with, and gathering requirements from, Design/UX folks, company execs, and executives at Sports Illustrated and its owners. He adroitly juggled these chainsaws, and always gave me a coherent specification at every step of the way. There were, as per usual, a lot of cooks in the kitchen, and he never complained, and made calm sense from the chaos. He managed the two week sprints with aplomb, always gave me clear instructions, was always available when I needed him, and just simply could not have done a better job of it. I know, firsthand, from twenty five years of software experience, how rare this is. Pete is a dear friend, and I will work with him anytime, and it is a privilege.
