Having worked with Peter for over 12 months on RPS Home Office account, I found him to be an exceptional project manager with a clear focus on client delivery and customer satisfaction. His output and insight never failed to impress and although he may not admit it himself, he is a fantastic people person who is able to build genuine working relationships with stakeholders and wider client teams (all of which he considers normal, where others may struggle). I would welcome the opportunity to work with Peter again in the future and would highly recommend him to any prospective clients!

Pete's a cracking project manager with a great understanding of what is needed to deliver telecoms and infrastructure projects.

Successfully delivered multiple milestones as part of a programme of work to stand up a meshed infrastructure environment across three data centres in an extremely short timescale and engaged to get the project on track to provide the Highways England Management capability to support the national roadside equipment network. The £50m project provides a critical component of national infrastructure supporting the country's 4,400 mile strategic road network and will provide an end-to-end managed service to build, maintain, and modernise the network. • Delivery of multiple milestones to meet contractual deadlines for the environment provision. • Management of third parties and suppliers to provision and equip the Data Centres. • Preparation of a project work breakdown structure and plan/schedule capable of delivering the project objectives. • Management of third parties to provision DC interconnectivity, Internet access and cross connections • Management of and responsibility for internal technical resources to rack, power, patch and commission the equipment and install cable patching to exacting standards. • Upgrade to latest firmware/software. • Consent and sign off of all required designs and documentation (134 docs) • Full audit and documentation of the environment and validation of equipment installed against design. • Migration of an existing SMS service to the new environment with added functionality. • Functional, FAT and SAT - Testing and sign off. • Integration into support. • Project performance measurement and reporting Show less

Initially engaged to PM the build of a new Server Room within the Derby Campus and to consolidate two existing server rooms into it so that the old ones could can be demolished to support a redesign of the Campus. Activities including decommissioning, virtualising and remediation of servers/services to build clean, lean and structured environments to migrate. This also led to an additional project to provide a replacement, resilient, up to date network to handle all the data coming off the Aero Engine test beds for distribution to other Rolls Royce sites and clients throughout the world. Other Data Centre projects were to assess a mainframe with a view to re-platforming and moving out of a Data Centre in Gloucestershire plus the analysis of a Data Centre in Docklands looking to relocate the services. The future operating Model and overall datacentre strategy initially within the UK were revisited as were the Server Room Standards. Show less
