Over the last several years, I have had the pleasure of working with Pete in his role as a Senior Network Administrator. Pete is skilled, thoughtful, and thorough. The technologies that he is proficient with are numerous and diverse. I find that when someone in his role is proficient with technologies outside their area of expertise, it really benefits all projects that involve IT. It helps avoid surprises in projects. Pete adapts to new technologies quickly, and he is able to help the organization transition to new technologies with minimal impact to operations. This is something that I find to be particularly important in our field. It is often overlooked how demoralizing a minor change to the computing experience can be for staff outside of IT when it doesn’t go smoothly. Pete was an exceptional steward of this responsibility. His empathy, kindness and compassion were put to great service ensuring that his internal customers were shielded from bad technology deployments. Pete is a stellar addition to any team!
