  My core role is running the huge (80,000 entries) database bespoke to SANE that supports the charity's telephone helpline - Saneline - enabling those taking calls from the public or professionals to assist referrals by accessing the most comprehensive, best available information on UK-wide mental health services. This covers both statutory and non-statutory services. In order to populate and keep the content as up to date as possible, I recruited, trained and managed a team of volunteers - working closely with the volunteer manager to select, support, and enhance their future career prospects. I would also supply fast time briefing packs on a variety of subjects for other departments such as fundraising, and the press office, and produced digests of complex subjects such as the Mental Health Act and medications to assist those on the helpline. I provided regular demonstrations of the functions and benefits of the database to both internal and external stakeholders, from SMT (senior management team) to visiting chief executives and potential major donors.
