Efficient, talented, unflappable and a great sense of humour.

I worked with Pete on a very demanding, high-value studio show that was shooting and completing dailies and editorial via a complex file-based digital workflow. Pete was exemplary in his commitment to his work, the colour grading and quality control of the images, and it was his hard work that had the whole process moving smoothly. Pete's a great collaborator on projects- he is a team player, he works hard and is contentious about everything he does. He also knows his kit, and is able to offer solutions to problems that come up, and thinks about his work with the larger workflow picture in mind. I'd happily work with him again on anything.

Working with Park Road Post I have completed a couple of Big Studio Productions. Using Colorfront Onset Dailies I completed QC, Dailies grade, sound sync & editorial transcodes while in a van as close to set as physically possible. This allowed fast turnaround of all the material & sign off direct from the DOP during Lunch / Evening. Working with Park Road Post I have completed a couple of Big Studio Productions. I launched Global Colour in 2008 when I moved to New Zealand and adopted the Kiwi 'can do' attitude. Global Colour is a unique company that combines my background as a Colourist with my experience as a Product Specialist and distributer of the Nucoda Brand. Global Colour is the Authorized distributor of "Digital Vision" equipment in Australia & New Zealand. Digital Vision has always been ahead of the curve with their innovative algorithms to automatically fix many problems that appear in both film material and now in digital acquisition. Paired up with the amazing Nucoda Colour grading platform, the Goldeneye Film Scanner and the brand new release of Thor, the company is moving from strength to strength. However, I'm a Colourist at heart and I have time to freelance in this area. It also gives me a great reference for movement within the industry and has enabled me to consult at the design level with the DV Engineers. Show less

As Head of Sales I was responsible for all revenue from APAC; project forecasting and managing and supporting resellers across seventeen countries to achieve maximum level of return. As well as these key elements, I also put myself forward as the first point of contact for any support issues in my region. This way I could better understand any issues that were arising and have a more informed knowledge of customer expectation for future pitches. In 2012 I sold the first of a million dollar workflow package called 'Vintage Cloud', a complete archive, restoration and cataloging solution for film acquisition. After the success of this deal I left the company on a high, feeling it was time to find some flexibility to work as a Freelance Colourist. Show less

I was offered a 6 month contract to work on the set of Narnia on the Gold Coast. This was exciting enough but but when it was explained that it was an all new, all digital workflow, I was sold. I was brought in for my in depth knowledge of the Nucoda grading and finishing system, an integral part of the dallies workflow and a linchpin between camera and editorial. I arrived on set in time to build my grading theatre, install the system and calibrate the projector, the kind of work I love. I collaborated with Rising Sun to build the initial film out LUT for cinema release and laid the groundwork towards building LUT's that would travel to the numerous VFX houses to finish the film. As shooting started the job expanded rapidly from dailies colour grading to include the QC of all footage and daily archiving using the Codex Digital Solution. We had a great team on set and I made some lifelong friends. An awesome project that sadly had to come to an end. Show less
