  I am working as a research assistant in the School of Rural Medicine at UNE. I have been working on a number of different projects. Research into the physical and mental health of informal caregivers. My role included gaining ethics approval, survey design, and liaising with external and internal organisations and participant recruitment which was very successful with over 200 participants, data cleaning and coding, statistics and paper development.A Study regarding the Family quality of life for families with a child with a developmental disability, my role was to complete a literature review and contribute to paper development.End of life care for people with intellectual disability which includes a series of focus groups with service providers, I completed a number of the focus groups and manage the data, and will contribute to coding and paper development.Survey on quality of life for people with intellectual disability and terminal illness, Survey development, participant recruitment, data cleaning and coding and paper development.Ageing-in-place for people with and without intellectual disability where there were around 90 interviews conducted and a survey with around 400 respondents. Data management cleaning and coding, reporting, survey recruitment.Large ARC linkage project that is just starting but will involve surveys, interviews and focus groups. The ARC grant is also on ageing for people with and without intellectual disabilities.For a period of time if responsible for much of the administrative coordination for the this project.Research, academic writing, recruitment, minute taking, organizing meetings and expenses are some of my duties in this role. I have conducted NEAF applications for the majority of these projects and am responsible for the data management cleaning/coding of a large volume of qualitative and quantitative data. Show less
