General Manager - AOC Geomatics

On acquiring two businesses; AOC and Eskom's LiDAR Division I was tasked with the General Management and integration of the companies into the AAM Group. Managed a staff of 30 plus across two offices (Johannesburg and Capetown). Repositioned the business within the African Geospatial industry to more strongly focus on emerging technologies and drive commercial success in partnership with the Executive Director of AAM. I introduced LiDAR to AOC tripling the companies revenue in the first year. This included all aspects of LiDAR; training aircrew, training processing staff, teaching Business Development Managers about the technology, and client liaison. Liaised with our BEE Investment partner - TsaRona Investments and implemented a skills development program for black female staff members. Presented at Map Africa in Cape town in 2008 Project Manager for major projects including the mapping of the Kingdom of Lesotho.

Lidar Operations Manager

When management of Eskom's Lidar Division walked out, Eskom requested AAM's assistance. I was seconded to South Africa to manage the business which mapped powerline routes and various Eskom sites ensuring they maintained their capabilities. The relationship formed between Eskom and AAM led to AAM purchasing the lidar unit and continuing to service Eskom's needs through AOC Geomatics.
