  Naast het doceren van drie talen neem ik nog wat andere activiteiten op mijn conto op het Krimpenerwaard College.n.a.v. het verbeterplan van de school ga ik me buigen over het schrijven van een taalbeleidsplan. dit plan dient ervoor om te zorgen dat leerlingen (zowel van Nederlandse als andere afkomst) zich goed kunnen uiten in het Nederlands (qua schrijven en lezen).Hiernaast ga ik ook meehelpen met het coördineren van de implementatie van Rots en Water op school. in het schooljaar 2023-2024 gaan we een pilot organiseren, met het doel om in het schooljaar daarna het Rots en Water-programma geheel te implementeren.   Naast Grieks en Latijn geef ik in het schooljaar 22-23 ook Nederlands, aan een brugklas op vwo-niveau.Hierbij ondersteuning ik ook leerlingen die moeite hebben met het lezen van Nederlands teksten via het Diataal-programma. Met Diataal wordt gekeken hoe het zit met de leesvaardigheid van brugklasleerlingen. vervolgens kan er per leerling specifieke teksten worden aangeleverd, waarbij specifieke vaardigheden worden getraind.

  Het Krimpenerwaard College is een neutraal bijzondere school voor mavo (theoretische leerweg vmbo), havo, atheneum en gymnasium. Ik ben nu voor het tweede jaar mentor van een brugklas op vwo-niveau, en geef ik les aan deze brugklas, en ook aan alle andere jaarlagen.Momenteel werk ik mee, of heb ik meegewerkt, aan verscheidene projecten op mijn werk:- Het begeleiden van stageleerlingen- Het begeleiden van profielwerkstukken - Meewerken in een commissie die toetsdruk op het Krimpenerwaard College onderzoekt- De organisatie van verscheidene activiteiten, waaronder de GymnasiumdagHiernaast help ik ook mee met het opzetten van brugklasprojecten in het kader van Wetenschapsoriëntatie Nederland (WON).   De VCN (Vereniging van Classici in Nederland) behartigt de belangen van classici in het voortgezet en universitair onderwijs en van de vakken waarin zij lesgeven: GTC (Griekse Taal & Cultuur) en LTC (Latijnse Taal & Cultuur).In het bestuursjaar 2021-2022 dien ik als secretaris; ik houd me bezig met onder andere communicatie tussen de vereniging en haar leden, en ik notuleer ook tijdens bestuursvergaderingen. Voorheen was dit als interim-secretaris, vanaf de jaarvergadering op 12 maart 2022 nu als officieel beëdigd secretaris. Show less

Frons - Blad voor Leidse Classici

  De Frons is een maandblad dat is gelieerd aan de opleiding Griekse en Latijnse Taal en Cultuur, van de Universiteit Leiden. Het is een tijdschrift door studenten, voor studenten. Het geeft geïnteresseerden kans om kennis te maken met delen van de Oudheid waar ze normaal niet mee te maken zullen hebben in hun opleiding. Voor mensen die een contributie is het een kans om hun onderzoek aan een breder publiek te presenteren. Momenteel ben ik een van de hoofdredacteuren. Niet alleen schrijf ik artikelen (zo heb ik voor de komende Frons, de ‘Winterfrons’, niet alleen een kleine beschouwing geschreven, maar ook het voorwoord), maar ik houd me ook bezig met het werven van teksten en artikelen, en met de redactie van stukken.   Frons is a classically themed magazine, made by students for students. Students are encouraged to write short articles on various classical themes, which usually do not appear in the standard course curriculum. It can be anything as long as it is related somehow to the Classics. As such, Frons has both an educative and entertaining character.As a contributing editor, I write articles for Frons issues at various points in time. As of november this year I have written two articles.

Het laat zich inspireren door de Fransiscaanse theoloog Bonaventura, zijn manier van onderwijzen, opleiden en besturen. Gedreven, betrokken, creatief en vooral met respect voor elkaar en voor elkaars achtergronden en denkbeelden. In het schooljaar 2019 - 20ben ik werkzaam geweest op deze school als docent Klassieke Talen: momenteel ben ik terug om Latijn te geven, als vervanging voor een zieke collega. Show less

  Het Collegium Classicum c.n. M.F. is het oudste klassieke vakdispuut van Nederland. Zijn missie is om studenten van de opleiding Griekse en Latijnse Taal en Cultuur aan de Universiteit Leiden een zo nauw mogelijk contact te laten hebben met de Oudheid.In het bestuursjaar 2019-2020 maak ik onderdeel uit van het 119e bestuur; mijn bestuursfunctie is ab-actis, ofwel secretaris. Ik ben verantwoordelijk voor het notuleren op vergaderingen en voor het contact tussen het bestuur en de dispuutsleden, -alumni en overige partijen. Show less

  I worked for a month at an archaeological internship under the banner of the Landscapes of Early Roman Colonication project (LERC). The aim of the project is to uncover information about the Samnites - an early Italic group of people who lived in the ancient area of Samnium - the current region of Molise, where the village of Jelsi is located. In the 2017 campaign, the project researched the Samnite hillforts - what was their purpose in larger Samnite society? The project used all kinds of archaeological techniques - point sampling, aerial photography, LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging of Laser Imaging Detection And Ranging) and the measuring of electromagnetic resistivity in the ground - to be able to discover more information about these hillforts and their functions in the area.   I have aided the Papyrological Institute in Leiden with managing the 'Berichtigungsliste', which is a work containing every emendation to ancient Greek papyri. The work entailed going through every papyrological entry in Ulrich Wilcken's 'Grundzüge und Chrestomathie der Papyruskunde', to check if every emendation Wilcken made in a certain papyrus was properly indicated in the Berichtigungsliste. This work will eventually be published in the fourteenth edition of the Berichtigungsliste. Does every bit of the narrative work? Does some small thing need to be edited? What about consistency? Is the punctuation correct? In this internship, I get to assist the main desk editors in correcting texts before they go to print. Claes, in making databases of coin hoards found in the general Benelux area (the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg). Now, in 2018, that information will be used for dr.
