♦ Lyrae : A flexible monitoring multiviewer solution able to monitor high numbers of heterogenous services.♦ Albireo : A high density broadcast/OTT encoder, empowered with hardware acceleration and designed to integrate smoothly in the production workflow.♦ Cutscene : An easy to use video recording/editing/publishing solution, allowing to quickly produce VOD and distribute them among social medias.

♦ DVB-CNA : A DVB analyser dedicated to operators. Contrary to usual analysers which are dedicated to Engineers, the CNA was displaying high level information, more relevant in a master control room. This analyser was allowing to check in a quick look that every component of a service was properly broadcasted.♦ T-DMB : I participated to the writing of the T-DMB greenbook which aimed to define the guidelines of T-DMB services for France.♦ DmB2Stream: a fully functional DAB/DAB+/DMB multiplexer.♦ DmbCoder : A T-DMB encoder, allowing to broadcast audio, video and was including a BIFS compiler as well. A specific audio codec had been developped to transform the transport overhead into a way to increase the audio quality.♦ Trilogic Audio Sound Server : one of the first shoutcast servers that was not only able to broadcast live streams, but was also able to rewind in the past. It was also linked to the metadatas of the radio, which was allowing to display in the players the various chapters of the program, and to jump directly the audio. France Info used this platform to broadcast its audio services for several years. Show less

This second experience allowed me to dive in a world where you can't afford to stop the broadcasting because of a bug. It also allowed me to start my learning of the DVB ecosystem, and to deepen my understanding of the problematics of audio/video broadcasting over an ethernet network. During these two years, I worked on several projects such as : ♦ Alcyone : DVB IRD integrating a restful API. The solutions was running under linux and lead to several contributions to DVB drivers in the Linux kernel. ♦ Atlas : IPTV backend. Contrary to existing solutions, Atlas was able to dynamically tune a pool of IRDs in response to user requests. This allowed to offer to users every single channels on the satellite, as soon as an IRD channel was available. ♦ Logrus : Creation for Radio France of a fully redundant emitter feeding application. The purpose was to build a bullet proof solution that would ensure continuous broadcast, even in case of hardware failure or uplink degradations. The application was able to gather streams to be broadcasted using DVB, IP and to dynamically switch on the best signal available. When the worst happens and no live streams is available, the application broadcasts an audio loop recorded on its flash. Several mecanisms had been added as well to detect and workaround hardware defects of the differents parts of the system. Show less
