  My responsibilities were to make sure the ship’s complied with international as well as local regulations. For example, safety, security and environmental related regulations. This was linked to my role as DPA (Designated Person Ashore) as well as CSO (Company Security Officer) where I had close contact with ship, class, flag administration and shore facilities. I conduced internal safety and security audits of the ships and was a link between ship and shore management. In Marine HR I was responsible for the crewing onboard, to employ compliant and experienced personnel and ensure the ships were manned according to regulations as well as plan their contracted time onboard.
