  I worked as a research assistant for the Reassessing Language Change project. My responsibilities included close-reading, key-wording and writing summaries of articles on socio- and historical linguistics, to be included in the newly published Language Change Database (LCD). I also participated in a test run of the database, troubleshooting and providing detailed feedback on its functionalities from a regular user’s point of view for the developers to consider. I also participated in processing and fixing potential problems before the database's finalisation and official publication in May 2018.In October 2018 I returned to compose the database manual and continue the work on the back-end troubleshooting and other technical tasks of refining the final product.

  I worked as a research assistant in the Helsinki-based department of the Global Anglicism Database (GLAD) Network. My task was to comb through major Finnish dictionaries and text archives to compile comprehensive word lists of modern anglicisms in present-day Finnish. My work was part of the Finnish contribution to the international research project GLAD whose objective is to map out linguistic and cultural anglicization in non-English-speaking speech communities.The GLAD Network aims to "share and compare strategies and resources for fostering cooperation among scholars interested in linguistic and cultural Anglicization involving the widest possible range of speech communities in Europe and beyond."
