Specific responsibilities included:: *Successfully operating a 24 X 7 X 365, high-availability infrastructure, capable of supporting public safety communications, and providing the management and leadership necessary to manage related infrastructure improvement projects through completion. * Effectively providing the management and leadership necessary to administer related infrastructure improvement projects through to completion. *Efficiently developing and administering a $6.5M annual operating budget and $5M annually in grants. *Successfully testifying before State Legislative Committees in regards to the overall status for AWIN, operational budget for AWIN, special appropriations for grant funding, and professional services contracts. *Reliably ensured the maintenance of $200M in radio communications systems assets. *Effectively setting direction and maintaining focus for direct report personnel; conducting periodic performance reviews to ensure that organizational and individual goals are achieved. *Effectively developing and maintaining of processes necessary to ensure high-availability, including monitoring plans, staffing plans, incident management procedures and escalation processes. *Productively working with users to resolve issues related to the use of the statewide radio system
