This is what you might call a "professional hobby". I'm never going to get rich so I can't give up my day job, but I sure will make myself, and hopefully others, really happy by being a celebrant. It's one of the best jobs in the world and a true honour each time I do it. I literally do it for the love! This is what you might call a "professional hobby". Freelance media strategist and Business Director. Juggling being a mother and a media gal can sometimes be a challenge, so in those times when I've had to focus more on my little people, freelancing has been an excellent way for me to keep in the media game. I've worked for agencies big and small (Ikon, OMD, Eletta) on accounts big and small (CommBank, Vodafone, Luxotica, Beiersdorf, Fertile Mind, Darrel Lea) doing both strategic and implementational planning, and some buying. My Bohemian adventure was a real trip! Joining as the first woman, the first Business Director and only employee number 6 meant that I was able to live and breathe the start up lifestyle. I'm so proud of my time with the Boho's as we all helped to build the company to 30 people within the first 18 months, winning big accounts like Aspen Pharma, Vodafone, Red Rooster, Oporto's and Best & Less, alongside clients such as Healthdirect Australia, Travel Insurance Direct, The Travel Corp just to name a few. I was also part of the STW Women in Leadership team. The start up adventure is like no other, meaning we needed to build strong relationships with all our partners quickly, onboard our clients seamlessly and still have enough energy for new business and setting up processes. My role included operational, team and commercial management; strategic and implementational planning across traditional and digital channels. ROI, customer journey exploration and real time connections have been my focus here.

I had a unique hybrid role at Ikon which found me responsible for the both the strategic and implementational output across all my clients. I worked across both a Shared clients team - managing 11 clients and then within CommBank. I left Ikon to go on maternity leave.
