House of Ruth 12/10/2020-Present- Louisville, Kentucky Housing Specialist:As the Housing Specialist my responsibilities is to find affordable housing for various clients. I meet with various Landlords, Property Managers, Owners regarding their availability of housing. via email, or by phone. I also meet with clients and assist them with their Section (8) vouchers along with verifying all documents that's needed to complete the process such as their I.D., Social Security cards for all household members, income, birth certificates and other paperwork as needed. I am also responsible for all (HQS) Housing Inspections making sure that all unit provides the required Codes and Regulations to pass the Housing Inspection. Other responsibilities are to complete New In-takes applications qualifying clients for one of our housing programs such as HWH, HPOWA, CH2, SPC-Kersey, Additional duties are to Answer phone, make copies, solve problems regarding housing issues with Landlord act as the Liaison between the tenant and the Landlord.
