As an Account Executive in the Medicare division, I have a couple of roles. My main focus is to educate Medicare eligible individuals when it comes to understanding their insurance options when they turn 65 or are approaching retirement. If they are still working I will compare their current benefits to Medicare and make the appropriate recommendation. Most people that call me are very confused - and scared - about Medicare and have been inundated with information from many carriers. I simply walk them through the process, one step at a time, and at the end of the day they make an educated decision about their benefits. Their appreciation is my reward! I also work with agents who are considering selling Medicare as an added benefit to their clients. I assist them with training and carrier contracting. From that point I can help them with the annual compliance training and certification. Basically I provide Medicare support at all levels.

I conducted internal and external Medicare training. Senior Account Manager March 2008 - January 2009 As a Senior Account Manager, I was the primary contact for the Small Group division. I designed benefit plans according to the group's needs and financial situation and handled all aspects of the renewal process. I resolved high priority and complex issues involving claims, billing, administrative, and benefit questions from clients. I communicated benefit programs at client site to employees. Also responsible for documenting all customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments and actions taken. I met new small group leads, presented proposals and finalized sales.
