Peg is an incredibly valuable contributor to our Career Management team and Desautels as a whole. She truly cares about her students’ career development, and is committed to continuously evolving our offerings and adapting to the needs of students. Peg is an excellent communicator which makes building connections second nature to her. She is an extremely resourceful team member with a unique ability to identify creative solutions to problems, lead, plan and execute with impact. Peg is generous with her time and helps others whenever possible. Over the years, she has gone above and beyond to help student clubs organize their events as well as coach Desautels students for case competitions. It’s no surprise that under her mentorship, many of these teams have brought home top prizes on a local, national and international scale. It is an absolute pleasure working with Peg — I have learned and continue to learn so much from her, both professionally and personally. Our team and Desautels students/faculty are lucky to have her.

Peg is the best career consultant I could have asked for during my studies at Desautels McGill. She has always been so patient and kind to me, constantly giving advice regarding my work and personal life. Peg is like a life coach, mentor, and a big sister to me. She helped me in different kinds of events from building my resume, prepping me for job interviews, to connecting me with the right people, and guiding me through cross-road decisions in life. It is without a doubt that I will not be where I am right now without Peg, and her words of wisdom still make an echo as I continue to grow. I can never thank her enough.

After working in the corporate environment in many Packaged Goods Companies I took the giant leap to the entrepreneurial world. I made this decision in order to expand my knowledge base to include running my own business and to use and enhance the skills developed over the years that I spent in larger National and Multi-National organizations. In conjunction with my career I held the position of President of the Montreal Council for Jeunesse J'écoute. As President I provided structural direction, launched many fund-raising events and saw the charity flourish and grow into new areas in Quebec with a team that raised over 1 million dollars during my tenure. I had the honor of being named Volunteer of the Year in Quebec in the first year of the Bell Walk for Kids. After contracts with a variety of companies, I was approached by the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill to assist in Career Advising the Marketing and International Management students in the faculty. Through this I have learned the importance of helping the young people understand their skills and competencies and find career alternatives suited to their individual desires. Show less
