Bio
Dr. Steve Taubman
Pedro is without a doubt one of the wisest, most thoughtful, most mindful people I know. His capacity to look unflinchingly at the inner workings of his own mind, rise above unresourceful thinking with compassion and clarity, and share that journey with others fearlessly and honestly makes him a cherished person in my life and the lives of many.
Allen Vander Meulen
Pedro's unique skills, background, and perspectives; and his willingness to tackle difficult challenges and issues, contributed a great deal to the campus culture and to my own experiences (both in and outside the classroom) during our time together at Andover Newton Theological School, including our time as roommates during a two week student trip to China in January of 2013. Pedro is a fabulous and inspiring speaker in both prepared and extemporaneous settings, as evidenced by his selection by the school's faculty to be Student Speaker at our graduation in May of 2013. (And frankly; I felt his speech that day was incredible - well written, well informed, presented in a way that the audience could relate-to; and both enjoyable and engaging.) He is well able to present challenging topics (often on ground that has been well trodden by many others) in ways that connect well with the audience's own experiences, while simultaneously provoking both deep thought and laughter. His passion for Ministry, Social Justice, and for making the Word alive and real to all, shows in every aspect of his life. I am honored to be his friend. From the perspective of being a minister, as well as from the perspective of having been a mid to upper level level manager in the business world for 25 years; I will say without hesitation that Pedro is a jewel who will shine brightly wherever and whenever he is given a chance to employ his skills and experience. Please feel free to contact me if you wish a more specific recommendation.
