Working for the Integrated Ocean Processes group my main responsibilities were:-Analysis of 15 trace metals in marine sediments collected along the Saudi Arabian coast of the Red Sea. Such analysis was carried out in accordance with the U.S. EPA. Protocol 200.7 in an Inductively Coupled Plasma - Optical Emission Spectrometry Equipment (ICP-OES).-Analysis of eight different trace metals in gills and livers of different fish species from the Red Sea using and Inductively Coupled Plasma - Mass Spectrometry Equipment (ICP-MS).-Analysis of 18 Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) in marine sediments using Gas Chromatography tandem Mass Spectrometry technique (GC-MS-MS)-Analysis of Silicate, Phosphate, Nitrite and Nitrate in seawater samples using a Continuous Segmented Flow Analyzer (SFA).-Analysis of Total Organic Carbon in marine sediments using a CHNS-O Equipment.-As part of the Saudi Aramco-KAUST center for Marine Environmental Observations (SAKMEO) I also contributed to generate the annual reports presented to Saudi Aramco and writing a paper with the environmental data gathered from the analyses mentioned above.
