      Oslo Area, Norway Starting a new career as an ASIC designer, I was working on a high performance analogue part for a flow meter chip. However, my background in radio soon caught up with me, and I became part of the team doing standardized ICs for radio communication. My responsibility was world wide technical support for the new legendary family of CC chips from Chipcon. Chipcon was the foundation for what today is the Low Power Wireless business unit of Texas Instruments.

      Oslo Area, Norway After 4 months of tenting and shooting at Jørstadmoen close to "Lillyhammer", I served the rest of my military service at Forsvarets Forskningsinstitutt (Norwegian Defence Reaseach Establishment), where I worked as a reseach scientist in radio communications. I took part in the research and development of the new MRR (Multi Role Radio) for the Norwegian army. Most of this work was on the system side of an analogue RF front end, and a study of tunable RF filters (preselector).

In Micro Design I could use my skills from a long time passion and hobby, and turn it into products for the world market. At the time this was the only real hi-tech company in my home village.
