Feb 2018 - Present
Since early 2018, I've helped expand WTIU's (and its sister station, WFIU Public Radio) digital footprint through original and local digital multimedia content.I produce, host, edit and write the web series Flyover Culture, all about pop culture in the Midwest. I also produce and edit video content for Earth Eats, WFIU's food and sustainability series. Previously, I produced and hosted the Emmy-nominated web series [Indi]android. In addition to content, I've had a hand in developing our station's digital strategy, like a recent project to streamline and clean up our stations' YouTube channels.Lastly, I'm currently in my third year with PBS's Digital Immersion program. Through the scholarship program and later the advanced program, I've been able to familiarize myself with my stations' various series and help nudge them toward new projects. And now, as a program mentor, I'm working with a fellow public media employee develop a new series for his station in Texas.

Served on the station's assignment desk and later its digital department to handle breaking news from multiple angles. On the assignment desk, I took calls, listened to police scanners, managed equipments and helped set up live shots. If there was a fire to be put out - literally or figuratively - that was up to me.Later into my time at the station, my assignment desk duties were compounded with the digital department, requiring me to ensure we not only covered the news on air but online as well.On top of my regular duties, I was able to fill needs as they arose, like running teleprompter for broadcast and writing story scripts for swamped producers.
