On top of his day-to-day responsibilities of managing the fraud queue, training agents, and surfacing fraud trends to engineering, Pawel has also taken the initiative to own the product side of our internal fraud tooling. Pawel advocates for new features and uses them to identify cohorts of bad actors who try to abuse the Nextdoor platform. He also demonstrates a willingness to learn our rules language (a domain-specific SQL-like language) and is the only ops person to write and deploy rules to production to stop these bad actors.
