  I also got this internship through the Lao Family community development youth summer program. I worked as a Teacher's assistant at 2 different daycare centers. At Starlite Child Development Ctr the kids are in elementary school so I watched over the students, helped them with their assignments, served them meals, and cleaned up after them. At East Bay Academy the kids are under 5 so I had supervised them with one other teacher. I also assisted the kids in the restroom, changed their diapers, served them meals, and put them to sleep.

  This was a summer program that worked with refugees and immigrants who have moved to Oakland to celebrate their differences of culture in farming. We shared our knowledge on planting and together we planted in different gardens. We also packed different foods and distributed them in front of Oakland International High School every 2 week. We learned about food pantry and did field work, distributed free food to families as well as group work.   I got this internship through the Lao Family community development youth summer program. Kitazawa Seed Co specialized in Asian vegetables seeds and it has been around since 1917.
