Key responsibilities • Producing monthly management accounts and ensuring all deadlines are met, a consistent approach is applied & providing detailed commentary on variances to budget. • Provide accurate spend & revenue information in particular open purchase commitments to allow accurate cost accruals to be calculated, including preparation and maintenance of accruals spread sheets. • Preparing and posting accruals and pre-payment journals along with cost correction where necessary. • Playing a key role in production of annual budgets & quarterly re-forecasting, resulting in the delivery of figures that highlight future performance, assumptions and risks inherent in the compilation of those figures. • Assisting contract managers in the cash collection and working capital especially with regards to work in progress and debt • Providing effective business reporting to improve the existing information systems and data management. • Continually identify, communicate and facilitate delivery of opportunities for value adding creation and those which enhance the business units operations. • Regularly review processes to ensure they remain fit for purpose and make improvements where possible to reduce the reporting timetable without compromising the accuracy or completeness of the resulting information.
