I managed Marko for 3 years in his Alliances Presales role, despite being completely new to this role, coming from a professional services background, Marko took to it immediately and quickly stamped upon it his own mark and approach. Marko's infectious enthusiasm and energy are apparent in everything he does, he is keenly interested in and proactively engages with not just his own role but adjacent and wider parts of the business and the industry in general. Marko is a driven and self-motivated professional, I only ever needed to set general goals and objectives for Marko and he would figure out and manage the details of execution and delivery himself - always to a high standard. Moreover, Marko is innovative, he effectively synergises input from his own experience and research with the requirements of the task at hand, he does not just follow orders - he improves upon them. Marko is an outgoing character with great interpersonal skills and able to communicate confidently in business environments both formal and informal from product presentations to business lunches to evening drinks. Marko is accustomed to working with and talking to people at all levels of business right up to CxO. I found Marko's combination of technology and people skills to be very effective in drawing out informal customer context and competitive insight. Though I no longer manage Marko, I am pleased that I still work with him as a colleague. I would absolutely hire Marko in future positions reporting to me and thoroughly recommend him to other prospective hiring managers.
