In several words - doing everything involving quality assurance and product knowledge. Main activities (avoiding word 'responsibilities' here since i'm trying to do much more than they are) include, but not limited to: -manual desktop, mobile and VR applications testing (research testing mostly), grey box, "fat" client; also sometimes performing web app testing -application logs analysis -determining potetintial weak spots of application to shift testing focus -tracking bugs through its lifecycle -using github to ensure certain test environment state -participating in test strategy development -investigating support tickets from users -test-plans, test-cases, check-lists development -composing user scenarios used for testing -requirements quality analysis -task analysis (determine required devices, instruments and time estimate for testing) -assembling articles for internal knowledge base to improve overall team product knowledge -helping other departments with any questions involving overall knowledge about how main product works -participating in employment of new members for the QA department, new employees training -daily scrum meetings participation -assembling certain data for the design team to use at the project demonstrations -reviewing help center articles -currently trying to adopt automated testing for product Achievements: -managed to improve grade from junior to middle QA in first 5 months in the company -ascended to senior in the next 8 months -achieved one of the best (if not the best) product knowledge across the company; and quite decent knowledge of user workflows and other application (working in conjunction with ours) features -built tight connections with all departments and most colleagues, which helping a lot throughout the working processes -reported about 1200 bugs in 2 years (averages in about 2 bugs reported per day), which is about 20% of all development tasks at that point; tested somewhere around 1400 tasks for the same period Show less
