Paul has recently developed a database-backed website for our network of universities. Throughout this process, he was reliable, flexible, quick to reply to any questions and a delight to work with. He is professional and provides 5 star service. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I have worked with Paul for about a year and he has proved to be a real asset. He has the ability to switch between a technical development role and a higher level, project-focused role which is a great skill. He communicates work related subjects and issues very clearly to clients so that all parties understand what needs to be done to achieve the required outcomes. He's very diplomatic too and has a good sense of humour - which is invaluable. Overall, Paul is a pleasure to work with and he produces excellent quality work.

I left the University of Bristol after 15 years to pursue new projects as a freelance web developer, so am now looking for Web development work in and around Bristol. I specialise in working with the Wordpress platform, building custom themes and templates for bespoke websites. I joined the ILRT in 2000, moving from a web development and technical support role for a UK software distribution company, where my specialism was in web analytics tools and web development.I was involved with the development of numerous web sites both within and external to the University, using a variety of platforms from simple Perl-based applications, to more complex installations using systems such as Drupal, Wordpress, Plone, Zope, Moodle, and combinations of all of these. More recently I was involved with the development of mobile applications for use within the University. I was project manager for a number of websites for clients such as the Worldwide Universities Network, the National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement, and the Equality Challenge Unit. I was also service manager for the Bristol Online Surveys (BOS) system.I was the lead developer and technical manager on the Virtual Training Suite service from its inception in 2000, until its recent transfer to a local software house in July 2011. I was also the acting manager for the ILRT Internet Development Group between February 2011 and May 2012.
