Pauliina is very diligent in her work. No task is too frightening for her. As a Community and Startup Ecosystem Manager, Pauliina showed her strong skills in the areas of stakeholder relations, project management and building mutual collaboration cases. She’s experienced in working with external and internal stakeholders: crucial in this role is creating a clear value proposition, communicating the strategy and understanding the target group’s wishes. Her international background is bringing extra value to any workplace or project.

Pauliina joined Yousician’s talent function as the second permanent team member at the time when the company was in the beginning of its active growth phase. Together we worked on a multitude of tasks enabling Yousician to scale up: recruitment, on-boarding, employer branding, countless events and ambitious projects such as the great 3000 ukulele giveaway at Slush 2016 - just to name a few areas we were pushing forward together. And every time I knew I could rely and count on Pauliina 101% whatever challenge we take on. Thank you, Pauliina for having my back on this amazing start-up rollercoaster, it was a great pleasure to work with you!

As a member of our Talent team, part of our People team, my role was to find and engage new Dashlaners for open roles by sourcing and interviewing candidates. I also acted as the link between Recruiters, interviewers and candidates for Engineering roles, ensuring a smooth communication flow and resolving any roadblocks in the recruitment processes. I was part of the HR team during a time of high growth, and jointly with the HR lead I designed a recruitment process that would allow us to scale from about 50 to over 100 employees in two years. In my role I was responsible for: - Managing the top of the recruitment funnel, supporting recruiters with communicating with candidates and moving them forward in the pipeline - Contributing to employer branding projects by creating content for social media, representing Yousician at numerous recruitment and gaming events in Finland and abroad; managing Yousician's visibility on e.g. various job boards - Coordinating the onboarding of new team members, running first day orientation sessions etc. - Assisting the HR Lead with different HR guidelines and policies In addition I partly managed and coordinated the company's internal communications: I managed a weekly newsletter, organized and hosted regular internal company-wide events, and organized photo shoots for new employees and updated our organizational team board

What I learned: I gained a deeper knowledge of corporate sales and account management as well as various marketing actions.

What I learned: After a product and sales training I became familiar with the selling process in practice. I learned to identify the customer's needs during a needs analysis, to respond to their needs as well as to assure them of making the right choice. Since I had "been the product" myself, I had a good knowledge of the language instruction I was selling. I also became familiar with quality management processes as well as the very basics of html.
