Paulien brings an incredible amount energy and fresh eyes to the table. Working with her for the past year on research materials / techniques, product design, sampling, prototyping and production of over 75 different pieces of furniture in Rwanda has been a great experience. She is extremely passionate and has an unstoppable drive to research things to the bottom, aesthetically visualise the results and come up with solid concepts. She is very involved and socially connected and helped us mapping out over 80 different craftsmen and manufacturers across Rwanda, documenting the different materials and techniques and present the data in a clear way.
