Paul is the smartest guy in the room, no matter who else happens to be in the room. His intellect consists of the rare quality of being equally "right brain" and "left brain." At the same time, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better colleague. At FEI, Paul and I served together as an ad-hoc internet initiatives team in the very early days of Internet adoption, reporting directly to the CEO. Paul's strategic vision was literally years ahead of the curve. He has the unique ability to accurately predict where the web is going and clearly separating the applications that will find a market and those that won't in the long run. In summary, Paul is that rare combination of brilliance and creativity.
