My CFO accomplishments include helping clients’ scale and transform their businesses and navigate through challenging business cycles. Recently, I helped a pipelines service client increase their company’s cash flow +800% over a 12-month period by focusing on planning, bid pricing, managing cash flow, cost control and accounting. I have also conceived multiple opportunities to improve clients’ profit margin by more than 2% of sales. As CEO, my primary role is to grow the P&L for The Energy CFO. I manage all aspects of the marketing and sales pipeline, contracting, developing and delivering firm services and solutions, making smart technology investments, and attracting the right talent. I began diversifying our CFO firm and my experience as a CFO into life sciences in 2015. Over the years, The Energy CFO helped executives of startups and established regenerative medicine, biomaterials, medical devices, and planning for biomanufacturing for companies in and around San Antonio, Texas. We/I liked the challenge, enjoyed learning, took advantage of the opportunity to apply our financial knowledge and leadership, and offered a “fresh set of eyes” from an industry that also has a great deal of coding, billing, R&D costs (which is exploring, developing, commercializing, and producing in energy), global supply chain issues, regulations, and finance/accounting complexity. In June 2019, I rebranded The Energy CFO’s life sciences business in conjunction with starting up and launching a new subsidiary, The Healthcare CFO. I prototyped, packaged and launched a new tech-enabled virtual cfo service for the Healthcare sector, our Physician CFO Service. I secured our first family practice client before launching the company. I used my existing firm’s knowhow, team, and our tech stack to make this service both unique and affordable. I also provided 100% financing. In the medical practice market, our goal is to help independently owned small physician practices achieve financial success and keep their doors open.
