Paul recently completed a contract position as a Senior Business Analyst within the Strategy, Solution & Innovation team within the Financial Crimes and Fraud Management Group at TD. His responsibilities included completion of PMLC documents which included business requirements (functional and non-functional), use cases, existing and future process flows and test cases. He was also responsible for executing test cases, documenting results and producing training & procedural documentation. Paul leveraged his vast knowledge of bank and SWIFT systems to ensure all risks were identified and escalated accordingly. Paul's commitment to excellence had him working closely with partners to ensure all were onboard with approach and delivery options. He worked closely with the Machine Intelligence team on customer profiles to enable machine learning and model creation. Paul's forward thinking was paramount in the work that we started to launch Virtual Agents (AI) as he identified opportunities and gaps in the processes. We would have been thrilled if he came onboard permanently, however, Paul's insatiable appetite for learning has forged a different path for him. He will be successful in anything that he does. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Paul has very strong project management skills with great attention to detail and is able to quickly identify and mitigate project risks. He is very analytical, has advanced problem solving skills and is able to think outside the box. His communication skills are excellent and he is able to interact with all levels of staff within the organization and foster great and lasting relationships. Paul is the "go to guy" as he is open and approachable, willing to lend a helping hand and contribute to a great team environment with his positive disposition. Paul is an asset to any organization and I am happy to recommend him.

I initially designed process maps to capture the full flow of exchange activity, including settlement, and I wrote procedures to support technology, compliance and operation departments (including project management methodology and AML/KYC). I established and followed an RFP process for assessing vendors for AML and regulatory reporting. My role required researching and documenting regulatory reporting legislation for a multilateral trading facility licence to meet MiFID2 requirements. I also researched, assessed and documented security token standards/models, primary issuance platforms, underlying blockchain protocols and how to audit smart contracts. I designed mock screens, wrote user stories, executed test scenarios in an agile/scrum environment to assist in the development of the product. I planned and led backlog grooming, estimation and sprint planning meetings. In addition, I assisted in the completion of an audit to meet RTS7 requirements which was one of the last steps for the technical portion of the MTF exchange licence. My role has since evolved to providing support to the operations, researching and gathering requirements for new opportunities, managing a UX/UI designer, translating requirements to user stories and epics and planning for the handover of some of these tasks to a new department.
