I have known Paula for over twenty five years and first hired her to work with me at the Metropolitan opera in the early 1990's. Most recently, planning my retirement from the Met, I chose her to replace me as Executive Stage Director. Besides being a wonderful opera director, Paula has all the essential traits to be the manager of highly skilled professionals. As I anticipated, she has become one of the Met's most effective leaders. Paula immediately grasps the most complex problems and finds the right solutions. She is well organized and insightful. She has an imposing and pleasant personality and most importantly, easily gains the respect and admiration of her colleagues. She is a persuasive and kind boss who has far exceeded my high expectations for her success in my former position. Everyone at the Metropolitan Opera admires her work, respects her leadership, and trusts her judgement and insight. Kind and compassionate, Paula leads with gentle authority and makes friends wherever she goes.

When I have long or short term projects to be spearheaded, I turn to Paula Suozzi. Paula is one of those rare individuals that keeps everything on track while maintaining a sense of humor, staying within the budget and making sure that everyone is heard. She manages large scale projects with multiple participants deftly and with great professionalism. I highly recommend her for any position she pursues.
