ESO creates innovative, user-friendly software to meet the changing needs of today’s Emergency Medical Service agencies, fire departments, and hospitals. I have recently worked on the design and delivery of our newest product, Inventory, playing a lead role in the successful launch, taking it from concept to realisation, including new innovative solutions to problems which could also be rolled out across our wider suite of products. Responsibilities included • Collaborating with the Product Director on the product vision & roadmap including capturing opportunities from various sources such as customers, sales, training, marketing etc to shape this • Managing and prioritising the product backlog to satisfy delivery milestones, deliver business & client value and optimise the value of development team effort, creating release plans to aid this • Interpreting high level business and client requirements to create feature requirements, conducting analysis work, and collaborating with engineering and design to understand and refine these, ripe for the execution phase • Working closely with the design team to support, and participate as much as possible, in user research and testing, reiterating findings to my team when refining proposed features ensuring they understand the business and client value • Managing the projects risks, issues, and dependencies with the creation of reports to track these • Collaborating with 3rd party vendors and other ESO teams to design and deliver on shared objectives to unlock additional sales opportunities Using Inventory as a benchmark, I've been an advocate for driving change in how ESO design and deliver their products to support our strategy to scale, moving towards a more user centric design approach using an incremental delivery model with clearer scope. This gives us more flexibility, making it easier to commit to deliver to milestones resulting in reduced risk and minimising the cost of change. Show less

I worked on our largest, most complex engagements, working in multi-discipline and multi-supplier environments. I delivered life changing products whose impact were felt across society such as digitising and streamlining the UK Visa and Immigration process to support those wanting to live and work in the UK to designing digital products for small - medium businesses, making the management of their finances easier and more insightful. I led multiple engagements, from product discovery, delivery, through to live service. My role within these allowed me to shape product strategy, influence policy and transform organisations to support more modern, agile delivery practices and promote user-centred design. Responsibilities included • Partnering with clients to shape & deliver on their roadmaps • Leading Product & Design across multiple teams to elicit requirements and define customer journeys to build a well-defined, prioritised backlog striking a balance between delivery timelines, client deliverables and customer needs. • Managing the scoping, planning, resourcing, budgeting, & reporting on engagements • Embedding ways of working and making use of agile tools resulting in improved efficiency, increased productivity and allowing us to give a higher level of confidence in our forecasting • Coaching and mentoring of my team to nurture and develop our people • Cultivating relationships in multi-supplier environments to deliver shared objectives As part of the leadership team for the Belfast studio, I led the Product & Design Guild. I grew and fostered a strong community to support our scaled delivery services and cross functional delivery team model, ensuring we could attract, retain, and grow the best talent. Responsibilities included • Staffing of individuals onto suitable projects, aligned to skills and strengths, with correct level of support • Managing recruitment in line with pipeline and shape of studio • Talent management including performance and wellbeing Show less
