My Brother Vinny is a NYS 501c3 non-profit charitable organization. We organize: distribute food, clothing and furniture and housewares to US Veterans, outreach groups, shelters and families in Westchester County/vicinities. We run an annual My Brother Vinny Walk and help local animal shelters and rescue groups in the aid and support of animal welfare. We establish and implement community based events geared towards improving the enjoyment of life, happiness and health of the emotionally, physically and intellectually disabled. Every event we do has a benefit towards helping others and getting people involved. Whether we are delivering gifts to over 140 residents at an adult home or providing gifts to children in low income community centers we strive to spread joy and add a personal touch to everything we do. We run many community events such as “My Brother Vinny Play Time with a Purpose” a monthly FREE program for registrants at Gymboree Play & Music of Yorktown. We combine free play, arts, music and dance and coordinate donations for our charity beneficiary of choice such as an animal rescue for our charitable purpose. WE HELP US VETERANS START OVER! 100% VOLUNTEER! (Veterans helped #'s change rapidly! Will update as soon as possible) My Brother Vinny has also become a tremendous resource to the Department of Veteran Affairs HUDVASH Program and the chronically homeless US Veterans staring over in the VA Montrose, VA Bronx, VA Castlepoint Campuses. Since June 2013, we have been assigned over five hundred US Veterans that we have currently assisted or will assist with their moves and transition to independent living. When we say moves we provide all items needed to start over through community support and donations. All of the US Veterans that we assist come from many different branches of military service and with varied degrees of disabilities and hardships. Show less
