LIM is an international based consulting firm that works with organizations in facilitating leadership, team and personal development. Our approach is based on Action Reflection Learning (ARL) - a process which sees learning taking place at the interface of action and learning. As a Learning Coach, I work with teams and individuals in co-designing workshops and developing working contracts that will help them find their answers to the challenges that they are facing. It is exciting work and wonderful outcomes can result. Let me know if you are interested in learning more about our work!

    • Executive Director
      • Sep 1997 - Dec 2007

I served as the Executive Director for 10 years (from 1997 - 2007). During that time I developed, implemented and monitored the Fund's nationwide based scholarship program which supported recent high school graduates and older adults in pursuing their dreams of obtaining their undergraduate or graduate degrees. I helped to design and implement a service learning program with the Mescalero Apache School community (on the Mescalero Apache reservation in New Mexico) and at Heart Butte Public School (on the Blackfeet reservation in Montana). I designed and implemented Building Bridges, a cultural exchange program between native and non-native youth at Heart Butte Public School. This program has continued at Heart Butte for 5 years.

    • Director of Training; Senior Program Associate and Special Projects Consultant
      • 1993 - 2004

Designed program materials to support the teaching of the RETHINK Program (an anger management program) developed in 1988 by the Institute for Mental Health Initiatives (IMHI). There were two initial programs - one for teens and one for parents. Over these years, I developed curriculum so that these skills could be taught as a curriculum based approach, extending the learning possibilities to younger children. I helped to develop an outreach program to an inner city school in Washington, D.C. where we introduced the RETHINK program to 6th graders. These 6th graders then taught some of these skills to kindergartners as part of a service learning project. I conducted training workshops for professionals as to how they could introduce the RETHINK program within their organizations.
