Paula is an experienced Project Manager, who works well with both internal and external stakeholders. Most memorable for me was working with her on the planning and execution of operations for handling the record-breaking number of visitors to RioGaleao International Airport in Brazil. Brazil had to give a good first (and last) impression to the thousands and thousands of athletes, team-members, journalists, tourists, etc to Tom Jobim Intl Airport, as the gateway to the Rio2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. She analysed flight and passenger number forecasts and devised systems to help us plan our deployment of additional staff and resources. During pre and post meetings, she identified key issues and helped us resolve them. Those are the 'hard skills' though. What would be amiss is if I did not mention her ability to work with the most hard to convince and stubborn people. She used a combination of data, logic, science AND charm to help them see what was the correct solutions, for the good of the whole project. That was just in Brazil. Over at Changi's Headquarters, she successfully and adeptly worked with Singaporeans, Russians, Chinese, Burmese, Malaysians, Filipinos ..... all of different backgrounds and ranks. Paula is truly an asset to Asset Management and to any organisation that she works for.
