Charlotte Gibson
I used to work for Paula before she was the Head of IT at Business Stream, and I really looked up to her during my time with her as my line manager. So when she invited me back to interview for one of her developer roles, I jumped at the chance to have her as a boss again. Not only is she one of those people who can keep and collate ridiculous amounts of information in her head, but she is able to replay it succinctly and coherently to others, to ensure that everyone in the room is approaching a problem with the right context. I've always been impressed with how well she can cut through the bull, and drill right into the heart of any project - she gets to the point and makes sure that noone's time is wasted. She's also kind, loyal, funny and one helluva geek, in the best kind of way. And it's important to note her special skills with a crochet hook - not a single baby has been born in our department who hasn't had an incredible special, unique and beautiful blanket made by Paula. If she were to ask me, I would gladly follow Paula wherever her career takes her.
