      Overall responsibility for the operations, planning and financial performance of Sinai-Grace Hospital (SGH) is the largest member facility of Detroit Medical Center (DMC). Located in northwest Detroit, Sinai-Grace Hospital is a full-service community teaching hospital with 404-licensed beds and more than 700 physicians, 700 nurses, and 1,700 support staff (including 356 unionized, non-nursing employees) servicing more than 214,000 patients annually. Sinai-Grace Hospital is also at Level II Trauma Center performing the highest number of trauma cases within the larger Detroit Medical Center, including DMC Receiving Hospital. Sinai-Grace is Detroit Medical Center’s only general hospital and offers all specialty services except non-emergent pediatrics. The Hospital's busy emergency department treats more than 100,000 patients each year, with the largest number of cases being cardiac related. Cardiology services include all surgical procedures except transplant, with four cardiac cath labs available. Orthopaedics and oncology are also core service lines, with on-site radiation oncology services and a chemotherapy/infusion clinic.
