I managed a portfolio of financial and insurance sector partnerships for Macmillan Cancer Support. I was the specialist lead for the financial sector portfolio, creating shared value opportunities that enabled banks to better support their vulnerable customers affected by cancer.I developed a robust partnership strategy, with a clear and on brand proposition that supported my team’s portfolio; securing maximum value for Macmillan through income generation, co-created service development and brand licensing. I was able to identify, manage and influence key decision makers across my portfolio, which included Lloyds Banking Group, Virgin Money, Barclays, RBS, Nationwide, HSBC, AVIVA and Scottish Widows to successfully secure long-term partnerships for Macmillan.I was part of the Macmillan senior pitching team that secured the Virgin Money London Marathon partnership for 2021 and was the lead development manager, project managing the multi-pillared working group to deliver over £4million for Macmillan.During the Covid-19 pandemic I secured £510,000 from Barclays, as part of their Covid-19 Community Aid Grant application process and £715,000 from HSBC, as a result of expert account management and relationship building.

Corporate Partnerships Account Manager Reckitt Benckiser

I was selected by the senior directors of Save the Children to take a leading role in managing one of the third sectors largest corporate partnerships; Reckitt Benckiser (RB). This global partnership delivered £4 million of income annually, with a focus on signature health programmes in Nigeria and India.I held account management responsibility for the delivery of the Nigeria programme and worked directly with technical advisory staff in Lagos to ensure all KPI’s in relation to programme implementation, financial tracking and project reporting were met.I became well networked within the senior management team at RB UK. My broad experience and expert knowledge of the sector allowed me to constantly challenge them to raise their financial ambitions, resulting in their UK staff raising £400k for Save the Children in 2017. I was also responsible for six other key markets including the five Gulf States and Australia.

In 12-months I transformed the partnership with Papa John’s pizza from £75k to £500k. I achieved this by winning two consecutive pitches for the brand to become headline sponsor of Save the Children’s two largest mass participation events; Den Day and Christmas Jumper Day. I also secured exclusivity of the Pennies Digital Money box on their UK website ensuring a further £120k of annual income.I was the lead account manager for the Thomson Reuters IFR (International Financial Review) series. Utilising my events management expertise, I co-managed two events in London, with over 1000 guests in attendance and one international event in Hong Kong. The events series raised £1.1million for Save the Children in 2016.My relationship management skills allowed me to build strong new relationships with senior partners at Clifford Chance LLP. This account had lain dormant for 4 years until I re-engaged them in Save the Children’s programme work. I led a successful pitch and application process that culminated in a £200k donation to support the Child Refugee Crisis in Europe. I also secured over £100k of legal pro bono support throughout 2016.Outside of overseeing other accounts within my portfolio, I was asked to lead the strategic relationships with both IKEA and Sainsbury’s, managing campaigns that delivered over £1.6 million of funding to support child literacy in the UK.

I was recruited into this role to transform and re-energise the Blind Veterans UK corporate fundraising team; after 18 months income grew from £25k to £300k. In order to achieve a significant step change in income, I needed to elevate the prominence of the charity’s brand. I achieved this by leading a successful application and pitch to Monarch Airlines, securing a 3-year partnership and gaining access to the airline’s database and marketing platform, with a reach of 6 million flying annually. This partnership raised over £250k to support the work of the charity.I also developed new partnerships with Specsavers and AgustaWestland delivering a further £300k.
