Design of systems for testing of RF equipments, payloads, and spacecraft. This includes wiring harnesses, cPCI and PCI cards for implementation of bespoke interfaces, test system validation aids, and boards for USB-control of RF switches. Most recently designed a Payload Interface Unit Simulator for use in all levels of spacecraft testing. Experience of RS-422/485, USB, PCI, PXI, cPCI, I2C and Industry Pack bus standards, VHDL, use of FPGAs, OrCAD Capture schematic capture design tool, PSPICE analog simulation tool, Xilinx ISE logic design tool, Mentor Graphics Modelsim logic simulator, assembly language programming of microcontrollers (Picoblaze), and of Microsoft Office. Attended courses on Mentor Graphics DxDesigner schematic capture and HyperLynx analogue simulation tools.
